Ncdex Tips - Coriander rises on strong buying interest as on 14 July, 2015

Ncdex Tips - Coriander prices rose by 0.67 % on Tuesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the limited stocks on account of  narrow coming from the major increase belts. At the NCDEX, coriander futures for this July 2015     concord, was trading at Rs. 11,624 per quintal, up by 0.67 %  after staring at Rs. 11,525  opposite the back stopper price of Rs. 11,547. It join the intra-day top of Rs. 11,725 till the trading. (Today At 11.45 AM ).

Sentiment better further as the investors grow their holdings tracking the surge in the need for the commodity.

Base Metals & Energy

Zinc prices rose by 0.76 percent on Monday at the domestic markets on hopes that China, the world’s biggest metals consumer, may accelerate stimulus to help spur economic growth also supported zinc, as the country’s imports and exports slid in March, prompting further policy easing bets. Zinc futures for April 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs 138.50 per kg, up by 0.76 percent after opening at Rs. 137.25 against the previous closing price of Rs. 137.45. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 138.75 till the trading. 

Natural Gas futures ended lower in the domestic and overseas market on Friday as investors and speculators exited positions in the energy commodity amid speculation that the end of the winter heating season may cut the demand outlook for the weather-sensitive fuel. The onset of the spring season in the US, the world’s biggest fuel consumer, means seasonal temperatures, curbing the need for heating offices or homes. About 49% of US households use natural gas for heating purposes. At the MCX, Natural Gas futures for April 2015 contract closed at Rs 157.90 per 1 kg, down by 0.44 percent after opening at Rs 159.4, against the previous closing price of Rs 158.6. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 157.6 till the closing.

Agro Outlook

Coriander prices fell by 0.46 percent on Monday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the adequate stocks availability in the physical market put pressure on coriander prices. At the NCDEX dhaniya futures for April 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 9,080 per quintal, down by 0.46 percent, after opening at Rs. 9,116 against the previous closing price of Rs. 9,122. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 9,025 till the trading. 

Castor Seed prices rose by 0.03 percent on Monday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the rise in demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals in domestic markets which in turn encouraged the investors to enlarge their holdings. At the NCDEX, castor seed futures for April 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 3,705 per quintal tonnes, up by 0.03 percent, after opening at Rs. 3,703 against the previous closing price of Rs. 3,704. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 3,731 till the trading.

Base Metals: ZINC
Zinc prices rose by 1.47 percent on Friday at the domestic markets after China’s inflation data came in above estimates, easing fears over deflation in the world’s biggest metals consumer, bolstering the demand outlook for zinc. China’s consumer prices rose 1.4 percent, year on year in March 2015, topping estimates of a 1.3 percent annual gain, while producer prices fell 4.6 percent from March 2014, decelerating from an annual 4.8 percent drop in February 2015. Zinc futures for April 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs 137.65 per kg, up by 1.47 percent after opening at Rs. 135.80 against the previous closing price of Rs. 135.65. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 137.85 till the trading.

Agro Outlook: CORIANDER
Coriander prices fell by 2.24 percent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the adequate stocks availability in the physical market put pressure on coriander prices. At the NCDEX dhaniya futures for April 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 9,160 per quintal, down by 2.24 percent, after opening at Rs. 9,296 against the previous closing price of Rs. 9,370. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 9,105 till the trading.

COMMODITY- ZINC PRICES ROSE BY 1%

Base Metals
Zinc prices rose by 1 percent on Thursday at the domestic markets after Germany’s Gfk consumer climate rose more-than-expected last month, data showed signaling improving sentiment in the region which raised the demand outlook for the metal. In a report, research group Gfk said that its index of Germany’s consumer climate rose to 10.0, from 9.7 in the preceding month. Zinc futures for March 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs 132.40 per kg, down by 1 per cent after opening at Rs. 130 against the previous closing price of Rs. 129.80. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 129.95 till the trading.

Precious Metals
Gold futures ended higher in the domestic market on Wednesday as investors and speculators booked fresh positions in the precious metal tracking a firm trend in the overseas market as a weaker dollar boosted the appeal of the bullion as an alternative asset. Stronger greenback makes gold cheaper for those holding other currencies, thus dimming demand. A surprise drop in US durable goods orders last month signaled a slowdown in the world’s biggest economy, raising bets that the US Federal Reserve may hold off monetary tightening in the near-term, bolstering the appeal of gold as a store of value.
Gold may extend gains today amid renewed safe haven appeal and speculation of lower US interest rates for longer. At the MCX Gold futures for April 2015 contract closed at Rs 26,483 per 10 gram, up by 0.50 percent after opening at Rs 26,280, against the previous closing price of Rs 26,351. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 26,498 till the closing.

Agro Outlook
Coriander prices fell by 0.96 per cent on Thursday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the adequate stocks availability in the physical market put pressure on coriander prices.At the ncdex dhaniya futures for April 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 7,925 per quintal, down by 0.96 per cent, after opening at Rs. 8,052 against the previous closing price of Rs. 8,002. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 7,862 till the trading.

COMMODITY MCX GOLD SILVER TIPS

Precious Metals

Gold futures were trading with slim losses in the domestic market on Tuesday as investors weighed the pace of US interest rate increases while a rebound in the dollar curbed the demand for the bullion as an alternative asset.Stronger greenback makes gold more expensive for those holding other currencies, thus dimming demand. At the MCX Gold futures for April 2015 contract is trading at Rs 26,177 per 10 gram, down by 0.08 per cent after opening at Rs 26,169, against the previous closing price of Rs 26,198. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 26,135 till the closing. 

Silver futures were trading little changed in the domestic market on Tuesday as investors and speculators were cautious over booking fresh positions in the precious metal ahead of key US economic data to be released today including February consumer prices, March manufacturing PMI, new home sales for February and Fed’s Bullard speech, which may offer some cues over the timing for the world’s top central bank to raise interest rates for the first time since 2006. At the MCX, Silver futures for May 2015 contract is trading at Rs 37,800 per 1 kg, up by 0.05 percent after opening at Rs 37751, against the previous closing price of Rs 37781. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 37842 till the closing.

Base Metals & Energy

Zinc futures fell in the domestic market on Tuesday after a renewed contraction in China’s manufacturing sector clouded the demand outlook for the base metal. China’s private factory gauge fell below the mark of 50 in March to 49.2, an eleven-month low. At the MCX, Zinc futures for March 2015 contract closed at Rs 129.55 per 1 kg, up by 1.25 percent after opening at Rs 127.70, against the previous closing price of Rs 127.95. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 129.90 till the closing.

Natural Gas futures plummeted in the domestic and overseas market on Monday as forecasts for mild spring weather threatened to curb the demand for the heating fuel. The Commodity Weather Group expects mostly average temperatures in the contiguous US from April 2 to April 6. At the MCX, Natural Gas futures for March 2015 contract closed at Rs 170.40 per 1 kg, down by 2.46 per cent after opening at Rs 173.50, against the previous closing price of Rs 174.70. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 167.90 till the closing.

Agro Outlook 
Coriander prices rose by 3.99 per cent on Tuesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the limited stocks on account of restricted arrivals from the major growing belts. At the NCDEX DHANIYA futures for April 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 7,945 per quintal, up by 3.99 per cent after opening at Rs. 7,550 against the previous closing price of Rs. 7,640. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 7,945 till the trading.

Precious Metals :

GOLD
Gold futures prices today fell by 0.21 per cent to Rs 25,729 per 10 grams as participants engaged in trimming positions amid weak global cues. Besides, subdued demand at domestic spot markets, too, weighed on the prices. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mcx gold for delivery in April, fell by Rs 54, or 0.21 per cent, to trade at Rs 25,729 per 10 grams in a turnover of 323 lots. Similarly, the metal for delivery in June shed Rs 55, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 25,854 per 10 gm in 20 lots. Globally, gold traded lower at USD 1,154.48 an ounce from USD 1,154.81 in Singapore yesterday. Analysts said off-loading of positions by speculators on sluggish spot demand and a weak trend overseas as investors weighed the outlook for higher US interest rates before the Federal Reserve begins a two-day meeting, mainly put pressure on gold prices in futures trade here.

SILVER
Amid a weakening trend overseas, silver prices fell by Rs 184 to Rs 35,379 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their exposures. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May traded lower by Rs 184, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 35,379 per kg in business turnover of 623 lots. On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in July declined by Rs 183, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 35,865 per kg in business volume of six lots. In the international market, silver lost 0.5 per cent at USD 15.57 an ounce in Singapore. Market analysts said a weak trend in precious metals in the global markets as investors weighed the outlook for higher US interest rates before the Federal Reserve begins a two-day meeting, kept pressure on silver futures here.

ZINC
Zinc prices fell by 0.52 per cent on Tuesday at the domestic markets after US factory output fell for the third month on the trot in February while confidence among homebuilders declined to the lowest level in eight months in March, signaling a slowdown in the world’s biggest economy, dimming the demand outlook for the metal.US factory production declined 0.2 per cent in February from the previous month when it slipped 0.3 per cent. The gauge measuring US homebuilder sentiment declined to 53 this month from 55 in February.Zinc futures for March 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs 125.45 per kg, down by 0.52 per cent after opening at Rs. 125.90 against the previous closing price of Rs. 126.10. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 125.40 till the trading. 

CRUDE OIL
Crude oil prices rose by 0.36 per cent on Tuesday at the domestic markets as investors awaited weekly reports on US crude supplies over the next two days.The American Petroleum Institute later will release its estimates of US stockpiles of crude, gasoline and distillates held at the end of last week ahead of more closely-watched US Department of Energy data due on Wednesday. At the MCX, crude oil futures for February 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 2,751 per barrel, up by 0.36 percent, after opening at Rs. 2,754 against the previous closing price of Rs. 2,741. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 2,758 till the trading.

Castorseed prices fell by 0.6 per cent on Tuesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of fresh supply of the commodity in the major mandies as well as strong production estimates.At the ncdex chana futures for March 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 3,648 per quintal tonnes, down by 0.6 per cent, after opening at Rs. 3,652 against the previous closing price of Rs. 3,670. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 3,639 till the trading. 

CORIANDER
Coriander prices fell by 1.15 per cent on Tuesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the adequate stocks availability in the physical market put pressure on coriander prices. At the ncdex dhaniya futures for April 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 7,230 per quintal, down by 1.15 per cent, after opening at Rs. 7,576 against the previous closing price of Rs. 7,314. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 7,189 till the trading.

Castor Seed prices fell by 0.22 per cent on Wednesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of fresh supply of the commodity in the major mandies as well as strong production estimates. At the NCDEX, castor seed futures for March 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 3,573 per quintal tonnes, down by 0.22 per cent, after opening at Rs. 3,570 against the previous closing price of Rs. 3,581. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 3,562 till the trading.


Coriander prices fell by 1.45 per cent on Wednesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the adequate stocks availability in the physical market put pressure on coriander prices. At the ncdex dhaniya futures for April 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 6,435 per quintal, down by 1.45 per cent, after opening at Rs. 6,510 against the previous closing price of Rs. 6,530. Mentha oil, Coriander (11/03/2015)


Agro Outlook:
Mentha oil prices rose by 0.54 per cent on Tuesday at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to tight stocks position in the physical market due to restricted arrivals from producing belts. At MCX, Mentha oil futures for March 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs. 816 per kg, up by 0.54 per cent after opening at Rs. 813.80 against the previous closing price of Rs. 811.60. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 816.80 till the trading.

Coriander prices rose by 1.48 per cent on Tuesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the limited stocks on account of restricted arrivals from the major growing belts. At the ncdex dhaniya futures for April 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 6,384 per quintal, up by 1.48 per cent after opening at Rs. 6,315 against the previous closing price of Rs. 6,291. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 6,448 till the trading.

Coriander futures traded on a negative note on Friday with new crop arrivals in spot markets. Coriander April contract traded down by 0.79% to 6165 level on Friday(11.40 am) at NCDEX Dhaniya April contract is likely to trade bearish for short term and sideways for intra day. Support for short term is seen at 5735 and resistance 6400 while intra day support is at 5975 and resistance will be 6250, Arrivals of new crop in major markets of Ramganj and Kota, is dragging the spice to deep negative territory. Increase in production compared to the last year too provided a big boost to bears while the demand stayed on the weaker side.

At the ncdex dhainya futures for April 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 7,183 per quintal, down by 1.4 per cent, after opening at Rs. 7,250 against the previous closing price of Rs. 7,285. At the ncdex chana futures for February 2015 contract closed at Rs. 3,550 per quintal, down by 1.22 per cent, after opening at Rs. 3,578 against the previous closing price of Rs. 3,594. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 3,545.

Mentha oil prices fell by 0.37 per cent on Monday at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) as a result of the increased arrivals of the commodity in the physical market from the major producing belts in Uttar Pradesh. At MCX, Mentha oil futures for January 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs. 773 per kg, down by 0.37 percent after opening at Rs. 771.90 against the previous closing price of Rs. 775.90. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 769 till the trading.

Castor seed prices fell by 0.87 percent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of fresh supply of the commodity in the major mandies as well as strong production estimates.

At the NCDEX, castor seed futures for January 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 4,772 per quintal tonnes, down by 0.87 per cent, after opening at Rs. 4,810 against the previous closing price of Rs. 4,814. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 4,763 till the trading.

MENTHA OIL
Amid profit-booking by speculators, mentha oil prices fell 0.45 percent to Rs 761.90 per kg in futures trade today. 

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January eased by Rs 3.50, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 761.90 per kg, with a business volume of 370 lots. Similarly, mentha oil prices for the February delivery eased by Rs 3.50, or 0.45 percent, to Rs 772.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 80 lots. The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market owing to subdued demand, market men said.

Mustard seed prices closed higher by 0.69 percent on Thursday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the decline in the supply for the commodity in the major markets. 

At the NCDEX, mustard seed futures for January 2015 contract closed at Rs. 4,087 per quintal, up by 0.69 per cent, after opening at Rs. 4,057 against the previous closing price of Rs. 4,059. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 4,122. 

India produces 5.5 million MT to7 million MT annually and about 0.15 million MT is retained for sowing and direct consumption as seed which leaves about 4.8-5.1 million MT for crushing and extracting oil.

Chana prices closed higher 0.26 percent on Thursday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the traders enlarged their holdings in the commodity on account of the good demand in the market. 

At the NCDEX, chana futures for January 2015 contract closed at Rs. 3,476 per quintal, up by 0.26 per cent, after opening at Rs. 3,468 against the previous closing price of Rs. 3,291. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 3,505.

Mustard Seed prices closed lower by 0.52 percent on Wednesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the profit booking by the traders on account of the weak crushing and export demand of mustard meal.

At the NCDEX, Mustard Seed futures for January 2015 contract closed at Rs. 4,054 per quintal, down by 0.52 percent, after opening at Rs. 4,082 against the previous closing price of Rs. 4,075. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 4,034

Coriander prices rose by 2.71 percent on Thursday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the limited stocks on account of restricted arrivals from the major growing belts. 

At the NCDEX, coriander futures for January 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 11,899 per quintal, up by 2.71 per cent after opening at Rs. 11,740 against the previous closing price of Rs. 11,585. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 11,900 till the trading.

Jeera prices closed lower by 2.66 per cent on Tuesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on account of a surge in the supply from the producing regions in the midst of a decline in the export demand. 

At the NCDEX, jeera futures for January 2015 contract closed at Rs. 15,025 per quintal, down by 2.66 per cent, after opening at Rs. 15,405 against the previous closing price of Rs. 15,435. Castor seed prices rose by 0.08 per cent on Wednesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the rise in demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals in domestic markets which in turn encouraged the investors to enlarge their holdings. 

At the NCDEX, castor seed futures for January 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 4,837 per quintal tonnes, up by 0.08 per cent, after opening at Rs. 4,844 against the previous closing price of Rs. 4,833. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 4,871 till the trading.

MUSTARD SEED 
Mustard Seed prices closed lower by 0.24 percent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the profit booking by the traders on account of the weak crushing and export demand of mustard meal. 
At the NCDEX, Mustard Seed futures for January 2015contract closed at Rs. 4,238 per quintal, down by 0.24 percent, after opening at Rs. 4,244 against the previous closing price of Rs. 4,248. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 4,230. 

CHANA
Chana prices closed higher 0.72 percent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the traders enlarged their holdings in the commodity on account of the good demand in the market.
At the NCDEX, chana futures for January 2015 contract closed at Rs. 3,480 per quintal, up by 0.72 percent, after opening at Rs. 3,440 against the previous closing price of Rs. 3,455. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 3,526.

Castor seed prices fell by 0.78 per cent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of fresh supply of the commodity in the major mandies as well as strong production estimates. At the NCDEX, castor seed futures for January 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 4,986 per quintal tonnes, down by 0.78 percent, after opening at Rs. 5,028 against the previous closing price of Rs. 5,025. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 4,971 till the trading.

DHANIAYA
 
Coriander prices fell by 3.11 percent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the adequate stocks availability in the physical market put pressure on coriander prices. At the NCDEX, coriander futures for January 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 10,800 per quintal, down by 3.11 percent, after opening at Rs. 11,181 against the previous closing price of Rs. 11,147. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 10,720 till the trading.

Coriander prices fell by 2.1 percent on Wednesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the adequate stocks availability in the physical market put pressure on coriander prices. At the NCDEX, coriander futures for January 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 11,840 per quintal, down by 2.1 percent, after opening at Rs. 11,964 against the previous closing price of Rs. 12,094. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 11,790 till the trading.
