Mentha Oil prices rose for the second straight on Wednesday at
the domestic commodity market
after the demand of the commodity
increased as traders and speculators booked fresh positions
in the
agri commodity. The sentiment improved further due to tight stocks
position in the
physical market due to restricted arrivals from
producing belts.
At MCX, Mentha oil futures for
February 2015 contract, at MCX,
were trading at Rs. 755.00 per kg, up by 0.28 per cent after
opening
at Rs. 751.40 against the previous closing price of Rs. 752.90. It
touched the intra-day
high of Rs. 757.90 till the trading.
Castor Seed prices rose by 0.41 per cent on Wednesday at the
National Commodity & Derivatives
Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a
result of restricted arrivals of the commodity at the major
mandies
as well as weak production estimates.
At the NCDEX, castor seed futures for March
2015 contract was
trading at Rs. 3,651 per quintal tonnes, up by 0.41 per cent, after
opening at
Rs. 3,625 against the previous closing price of Rs.
3,636. It touched the intra-day high of Rs.
3,660 till the trading.
