Mentha Oil prices
fell by 0.35 percent on Friday at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX)
as a
result of the increased arrivals of the commodity in the
physical market from the major
producing belts in Uttar Pradesh.
Sentiment weakened further as the investors indulged in
profit-booking in the midst of a fall in demand in the spot market.
At MCX, Mentha oil futures
for February 2015 contract, at MCX, were
trading at Rs. 743.00 per kg, down by 0.35 percent
after opening at
Rs. 745.40 against the previous closing price of Rs. 745.60. It
touched the intra-
day low of Rs. 742.40 till the trading.
Castor Seed prices
rose by 0.19 percent on Friday at the National Commodity &
Derivatives
Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of fresh demand of
the commodity in the major
mandies. At the NCDEX, castor seed
futures for February 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 3,775
per
quintal tonnes, up by 0.19 per cent, after opening at Rs. 3,781
against the previous closing
price of Rs. 3,768. It touched the
intra-day high of Rs. 3,790 till the trading.
