Crude oil prices fell by 2.68 per cent on Monday at the domestic markets as worries about a surplus of global supplies amid weak demand continued to drag on oil markets.

At the MCX,
crude oil futures for January 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 3,300
per barrel, down by 2.68 percent, after opening at Rs. 3,380 against the
previous closing price of Rs. 3,391. It touched the intra-day low of
Rs. 3,287 till the trading.
LEAD
Lead prices fell by 0.50 percent on Monday at the domestic markets as a result of low demand for the commodity from battery-maker in the spot market in the midst of weak overseas trend.
At the MCX, Lead futures, for the January 2015 contract, is trading at Rs 118.30 per kg, down by 0.50 percent, after opening at Rs 119, against a previous close of Rs 118.90. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 118.15 till the trading.
